So Valerie Jarrett Obama’s long time crony now has a degree in economics, or at least a passing aquaintance with it? Her quote in the Daily Standard says it all:

People who receive that unemployment check go out and spend it and help stimulate the economy, so that’s healthy as well.”

So President Obama didn’t turn down the Keystone Pipeline?  Mr Carney’s logic is a thing to behold, somewhat like Ms. Jarretts. Must be an administration thing.

Later in the briefing, Carney says it is the Republicans’ fault.

The Supreme court is going to allow the Obama administration more time to convince it that Obamacare is constitutional?

The Supreme Court has announced it will allow a full six hours for oral arguments over constitutional challenges to President Obama’s health care law, granting the case the longest hearing in recent history.

I’m sure those who are arguing about Affirmative Action would like to have that kind of time as well.  You know this president and his cabal, they think if they can just talk long enough, tell a lie often enough people will believe it.  I think that idea might come from Arlinsky or one of his followers. He is the author of Rules for Radicals and this is one of his quotes:

Sure sounds like the vermin that have infested our government.

Apparently things are NOT looking up despite what one hears coming out of the White House.

So here’s the question.  The press by it’s overwhelming hatred of G.W.Bush tried and in some ways obviously succeeded in vilifying the former President.  Obama owns the media, except for a few lone voices in the wilderness.  What’s his excuse besides incompetence, arrogance and ineptitude?  I bet Jimma’ Carter just loves Obama.  The president is that only reason Carter won’t continue  to be the “worst” president ever.

After decades of minority rule Detroit has hit a new low.

A planned proposal before the Senate would make it a crime to possess a toy gun that has its required markings removed or by having a real gun that is made up to look like a toy.

While one would think that civilized cities shouldn’t have to make legislation like this the fact is that the barbarism and down right anarchy has had an impact.  Add to that the down turn in the economy and well ………….

Yes, the economies bad but surely Detroit’s problems are long standing and more than just economic.

 Finally, Barak Obama was the presidential candidate who beat President Bush up about the many and varied wars he started right?  I do remember that.  Obama was the darling of Cindy Sheehan and Code Pink correct?

AP brings us this lovely report:

Rear Adm. Brian L. Losey, the top U.S. special operations commander for Africa, said Wednesday that U.S. troops are now stationed in bases in Uganda, Congo, South Sudan and the Central African Republic.

 Apparently we can keep Africa safe but Texas and our southern Border will just have to wait.  Until AG Holder gets more automatic weapons, perhaps?

The Obama administration is starting to shut down a program that deputized local police officers to act as immigration agents.

 

Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials have trained local officers around the country to act as their agencies’ immigration officers. Working either in jails or in the field, the officers can check the immigration status of suspects and place immigration holds on them.- USAToday

and from the same article:

The program had been criticized by Homeland Security inspector general reports, which found that local officers were not being properly trained and there was not enough oversight to ensure that local agencies weren’t using the program to engage in racial profiling.

I’m sure when blue haired ninety year old grandparents from Sun City begin invading Mexico the Texas law enforcement folks will detain them.  Until that time it’s almost impossible to not target hispanics in the border areas because that’s who the criminal invaders are.  If I were hispanic my ire would be at those who come here illegally and make all this necessary not on those who seek to enforce the law.

But really are things THAT bad in the no man’s zone formerly know as the border or even north of that?

El Paso Police Chief Greg Allen said the woman was a 48-year-old mother who was pushing a child in a stroller when she was shot in the upper right calf.

 Allen said that the bullet came from a gunfight between carjackers and law enforcement in Juarez.-El Paso Times

The public was told by El Paso mayor John Cook not to panic. He also said:

“People get struck by lightning, too, and that doesn’t make us stay indoors when there is a rainstorm.”

People with common sense do, stay inside during thunder storms, that is. The mayor is right that stationing troops along he border wouldn’t have helped in this case.  Firing back and killing said thugs and miscreants would make sure that at least those animals, wouldn’t be shooting any more “collaterals” by “accident”.
